Description

SECURITY DEVICE FOR MEDIA CONTAINERS OF ENGRAVING WITH IMPROVED CLOSURE MEMBER The present invention relates generally to security storage containers and, more specifically, to a security device used to hold and display storage containers for etching media. More specifically, the present invention relates to a security device with an improved closure member that allows a storage container of etching means, such as a DVD or CD box, to be inserted inside the security device and then saved. until the security device is cut or destroyed.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION There are various items of engraving media that are displayed for sale in storage containers. Generally, consumers require access to such items of print media, such as DVDs or CDs, to review the packaging information while deciding whether to purchase the item or not. In the same way, the stores wish to provide their customers with access to said articles of engraving media at the same time that they can prevent their theft. As a result, stores place an electronic item security label in or attached to each item of engraving medium that is then placed inside of a security device. At present, there are various types of security devices known in the state of the art that are re-usable and that can be opened by means of special keys used by the vendor as well as being used only once. After the purchase in which the security devices mentioned above are used, the seller destroys the security container when removing the item from the engraving medium or sells the security device to the consumer with the article of engraving means after deactivating the electronic article security tag. As regards security devices that are only used once, the security containers known in the state of the art enable the article of etching medium to be easily loaded in the container as well as easily enclosed with automated equipment. However, the security containers known in the state of the art have certain drawbacks, particularly with regard to the removal of the item from the engraved medium once the purchase of the engraving article has been made, either when the seller destroys the security container when it withdraws the article of etching medium or when the security device is sold to the consumer with the article of etching medium after deactivating the electronic article security label. In addition, the closing members of said security devices do not seem to provide total security in regard to their opening after they are closed with the item of engraving medium, be it a DVD or CD, as they do not guarantee that the security container be effectively open unless cut or destroyed or container as well as being very complicated and high cost. For example, the American patent of no. 6,814,225 B2 contemplates a security device for engraving media storage containers that includes various types of closure members that, however, do not guarantee total security as regards the opening of the security device after they are closed with the article of engraving medium. In addition, said security device presents certain drawbacks in the removal of the article of etched media once the seller destroys the security container when removing the article of etching medium or when the security device is sold to the consumer with the article of medium of engraving after deactivating the electronic article security tag. In order to eliminate these and other drawbacks, the development of a novel safety device for containers of etching means was intended, which is intended to be protected by means of the present application, which consists of an improved closure member if compared to the previous art.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The characteristic details of this novel security handle are clearly shown in the following description and in the accompanying drawings. It is a first object of the present invention to provide a security device with an improved closure member that allows a merchandise storage container, particularly, etching means, such as a DVD or CD box, to be inserted inside the security device and then it is stored with total anti-theft security in relation to the opening of the security device after it is closed with the article of engraving medium. It is a second object of. The present invention provides a security device with an improved closure member that allows a merchandise storage container, particularly etching means such as a CD or DVD box, to be inserted inside the security device and then stored until the safety device is cut or destroyed, and removed from the safety device more easily since it does not take much force to remove the item of etching medium from the safety device being cut or destroyed.
