Abstract

The present invention refers to an adjustable support for a classic guitar, which may be adapted to different techniques for playing said instrument;the guitar is maintained in a more comfortable and suitable position than that provided by a foot step, thus allowing the side inclination, height and lateral positioning of the guitar to be modified with respect to the body of the guitar player. Furthermore, this novel support enables the guitar player to play the instrument lean against his/her seat back, thereby providing more comfort.

Description

"ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT FOR CLASSICAL GUITAR" BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION From the beginning of the development of the classical guitar technique, and in the same way as with all other instruments, one of the basic aspects for its correct execution has been the way of holding the instrument and the position that the instrumentalist must adopt when playing.
Traditionally a small bench has been used that is placed under the left foot of the performer, so that by supporting the guitar on the thigh of that leg, it is possible to place it in a position that allows playing. However, the body position that results from this practice is uncomfortable and very tired, and this is why we have already tried to develop other methods to hold the guitar in a correct position but without using the bench for the foot.
As a result of these efforts some supports have been designed that are placed between the guitar and the left thigh of the guitarist, so that both feet can be placed on the ground, keeping the guitar in a relatively adequate position. Despite this, none of the available media currently fully meets the needs of today's guitarists in terms of comfort, practicality, adaptability, functionality and economy.
Being this way, by means of this sohcitud it is tried to protect a new support that incorporates simple but very useful elements for the already mentioned purposes.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Through this description and the drawings that complement it, the main characteristics of the new guitar support are shown.
In figures 1, 2 and 3, one of the two equal posts (No. 1) forming the support is shown, viewed from different perspectives: from the front, in figure 1; from behind, in figure 2; and from one of its sides, in Figure 3. Figure 4 illustrates the manner in which both posts (No. 1) are mounted one with respect to the other by means of a screw or other similar piece that functions as an axis (No. 2) In figure 5 the place of placement of the support with respect to the guitar is shown.
It can be noted that the support consists of two flattened posts (No. 1) divided into three sections: a long section, and two short sections that meet at the ends of the long section. The short sections form an angle with the long section, since the short section of the upper part (No. 5) provides support for the guitar and the short section of the lower part (No. 6) gives stability when placing the support on the guitarist's leg In its long section, the posts have several holes (No. 3) that serve to mount both posts by means of a screw (No. 2) giving the possibility of changing the dimensions of the support and therefore accurately adjust the position of Guitar. To hold the support to the guitar, suction cups (No. 4) are used, and to make the support of the support more comfortable on the leg, a rectangular cushion (No. 7) has been placed in the base of the support, which is fastened to the support by means of a cloth tube (No. 8) sewn to the cushion into which the lower short section (No. 6) of one of the support posts is inserted.
The most notable characteristics of this support are: the possibility of adjusting the mclination towards the sides, the height and the lateral location of the guitar with respect to the body of the performer by means of its different mounting positions by changing the screw (No. 2) in the holes (No. 3) of the posts; and the backward tilt angle provided by the base and the top of the support.
We can point out some other additional advantages: its resistant and durable construction in some metal such as iron or aluminum; its coating of a material such as rubber or silicone that gives it a suitable presentation for use either when practicing or in public presentations, and at the same time serves to prevent the support from scratching or mistreating the varnish of the guitar; and its simple design that makes it practical and easy to use.
Due to the characteristics described above, this new stand combines the advantages of other supports and at the same time incorporates new ones in a way that is very versatile and can adapt to a large number of styles and techniques for playing the guitar. It makes it possible even to have the great comfort of playing by recharging the back on the back of the chair, something that can not be done using the bench for the foot or other supports. It also offers the possibility that by simply changing the dimensions of its posts or the angle at which the short sections of the posts are flexed with respect to the long section during its manufacture, the support can be adapted to the different anatomical characteristics and technical requirements. of each guitarist.

Claims (2)

CLAIMS After the description that I have already made of my invention, I consider as a novelty and therefore claim of my property, what is contained in the following clauses:
1. Adjustable support for classic guitar formed by two equal flattened metal poles that can be mounted in several positions by means of an axis and that consist of a long section with perforations, through which the shaft goes, and that in each of their ends have a short section that form an angle with the long section, so that the short upper sections of the posts serve to support the guitar, and the short lower sections serve to support the support on the left leg of the guitarist.
2. Support for guitar with the characteristics indicated in the previous claim that also incorporates a rectangular cushion in its base that is attached to the support by means of a cloth tube sewn to the cushion in which the short lower section of one of the posts of the support.
