Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un sistema de conversion de polarizacion (100) y un metodo para ajustar el mismo, que comprende un conjunto (110) de separadores de haz polarizante y al menos un primer lente (115) y un segundo lente (120) en cascada para recibir luz no polarizada producida por una fuente de luz (135). La posicion de los lentes, primero y segundo, puede fijarse para ajustar el enfoque de luz no polarizada en el conjunto de separadores de haz polarizante. Alternativamente, los dos lentes pueden ser ajustables. El sistema de conversion de polarizacion puede incorporarse en una pantalla de cristal liquido que incluye un dispositivo formador de imagenes (155). Un tercer lente (125) y un cuarto lente (130) pueden instalarse en cascada para recibir la luz polarizada del conjunto de separadores de haz polarizante y enfocar la luz polarizada en un dispositivo formador de imagenes. El sistema puede ajustarse al fijar la posicion de al menos uno de los lentes para enfocar la luz no polarizada en el conjunto de separadores de haz polarizante, reduciendo asi la reflexion de la luz no polarizada que viene del conjunto de separadores de luz polarizante.
