Abstract

Se describe un sistema y metodo para determinar la localizacion de un aparato movil utilizando el canal de piloto inverso provisto en los sistemas de comunicacion CDMA200 para determinar un atributo de una senal de piloto inverso en uno o mas detectores de ubicacion inalambricos (Figura 4). Una sobreposicion en red de detectores de ubicacion inalambricos monitorea el canal de piloto inverso para una senal de piloto inverso del movil objetivo. La senal monitoreada puede comparase con la senal de referencia para determinar la correlacion y determinar asi un atributo de la senal del piloto inverso del movil objetivo (Figura 6). El metodo puede llevarse a cabo independientemente del sistema de comunicacion y sin requerir la recuperacion de los bits de informacion provenientes del aparato movil. La senal de referencia puede generarse a partir de la mascara de codigo unico de gran difusion del aparato movil objetivo, lo cual es tipicamente una funcion del ESN del aparato movil objetivo.
