Abstract

Un metodo para efectuar un traspaso (300) de un terminal movil (300) entre una celula 3G (302) y una celula WLAN (320) cuando el terminal movil (330) se mueve dentro de una celula 3G (302) hacia el area de cobertura de la celula WLAN (320). La presente invencion propone que se efectue el traspaso cuando no hayas llamadas activas (324). En caso de haber llamadas en curso, el metodo propone esperar hasta que se terminen las llamadas, antes de efectuar el traspaso. Despues que se terminen las llamadas en curso se lleva a cabo el traspaso desasociando (324) de la red de acceso por radio de la celula 3G (302) y asociando con el punto de acceso de la WLAN (320), utilizando los procedimientos de desasociar y de asociar relativamente directos. El metodo de traspaso de acuerdo con la presente invencion obvia la necesidad de protocolos complejos y costosos, para asegurar un traspaso de las llamadas sin solucion de continuidad y sin error se mueve de la cobertura de la celula 3G (302) a la cobertura de la celula WLAN (320). Este metodo puede ser usado ya sea con la disposicion de acoplamiento flojo o bien con la disposicion de acoplamiento apretado.
