Abstract

Se describen compuestos de la formula (I):(ver formula I),y sales y esteres farmaceuticamente aceptables de los mismos, utiles en el tratamiento y/o prevencion de la enfermedad de Alzheimer y otras enfermedades similares, en donde Rn, Rc, R1, n y R20 se definen en la presente. Estos compuestos incluyen inhibidores de la enzima beta secretasa que son utiles en el tratamiento de la enfermedad de Alzheimer y otras enfermedades caracterizadas por la deposicion del peptido A beta en un mamifero. Los compuestos de la invencion son utiles en composiciones y metodos farmaceuticos para el tratamiento para reducir la formacion del peptido A beta.
