Description
COVER FOR SUPPORT. SEATS AND SUPPORTS OF SPORTS MACHINES
Object of the invention
The present cover for backs, seats and supports of sports machines, object of the present invention, consists of a body essentially formed by a more or less thick fabric with a waterproof face, preferably of plastic, and the other face is a cellulose layer with beads of sweat-absorbing gel, carrying diagonal bands of elastic material that stretch and allow adapting to the different shapes and sizes of the supports, in addition, they have elastics in the corners of the cover to fit the corners of the back where the supports the user.
This invention has application both in the textile industry and in that related to the apparatuses for physical exercise and, in definitive, where it is necessary to avoid the contact of the sweat with the sports material that is common for all.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
To date, in the sports sector and more specifically in the world of fitness, there are thousands of rooms where muscle and cardiovascular machines are located, in whose centers it is mandatory to use towels in the seats of each of the devices, with In order to give it a hygienic use. In those moments, users use all kinds of towels and different sizes, with a series of inconveniences: The towels are not waterproof, so they pass through the sweat and remain impregnated in the support. The towels do not have restraint systems to the seat, so they tend to fall to the ground or move, thus giving way to the contact of the users with the seats or supports. The gyms spend a lot of money on machines, but when you see one of these rooms used by users, it is noted that all the machines are full of towels of different colors, patterned, beach, small,
great, etc., in short that all the efforts in image are clouded by this variety. Customers are required to carry a towel for the shower and another for the machines, at least two towels that they then have to wash.
Therefore, the use of towels as an element to protect the sweat from the seats and supports of gym machines, rehabilitation centers and the like, does not solve the problem that it tries to solve, being also an unsightly product that provides a greater need for maintenance since, since the towels do not completely cover the surface of the backrests, seats or supports, the upholstery of the machines wear out more quickly. On the other hand, as soon as a towel is placed for its use, it is soaked with sweat, especially in the hot months, which often requires more than one towel for this use.
Description of the invention
With the cover for backs, seats and supports of sports machines, object of the present invention, it is intended to avoid or alleviate all these drawbacks, for this, it is based on a body composed of an absorbent material on the one hand, based on layers of cellulose, inside which there are balls of gel that absorb moisture, as well as on the other side is placed a waterproof surface that prevents the passage of moisture in one direction or another.
At the same time, this body houses one or several elastic bands transversely, which allow this cover to adapt to different measurements, depending on the dimensions of the support or seat of the machine, so that the same cover can be used for several machines of several sizes. sizes, just stretch these elastic bands to reach the measure, within limits.
In order to facilitate the coupling of this cover to the backrest or seat of the machine, some corners are placed, also elastic, to be attached to the corners of the backrests adjusting perfectly, avoiding the
movement of this on the backrest or support, as well as falls, displacements, etc.
Therefore, with this cover is mainly guaranteed the absorption of sweat or himiedad that is generated during the practice of the exercise, avoiding on the one hand the contact between the sweat of the user and the backrest of the machine, thanks to the contact surface between cover and back is waterproof, in addition to the body of the cover to be gel balls, absorb all this moisture preventing its transfer to the backrest.
On the other hand, they maintain their contact surface with the dry user, so that their use as towels is not uncomfortable, since once they are soaked, they wet both the user and the backrest.
In addition, this cover or covers machines is a low cost accessory, but enough to assume a business, while providing an image of uniformity and cleanliness, since you can place both advertising and a logo, prints, etc., that uniform the image of the premises, protecting the machine effectively against the sweat of the users; and finally, it is also a less concern to the users of these facilities, as they can forget at least one towel and save the washing and transport of these.
Description of the drawings
To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive report is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, a figure in which, with an illustrative and non-limiting character, The following has been represented:
Figure 1.- Top schematic perspective view of a side cover of the present invention, applied to a backrest of a physical exercise machine.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
As can be seen in the attached figure, a cover body (1) is first distinguished, formed by areas composed of cellulose layers (2), lower elastic bands (3) and other transverse bands (7), some adjustable bands (4) of coupling to the backrest (5), incorporating an impermeable layer (6) through the lower part of the cover. Likewise, and in order to facilitate the adjustment and fixation to the backrest (5), ribbons or elastic strips (8) are included in the cover, which starting from one of the lower strips is hooked to one of the ends of the cover , passing under the backrest for its coupling.
The cellulose bodies (2), are equipped inside with balls of gel • that absorb the sweat of the user, therefore this will be the area that is placed face up, in direct contact with the user or athlete. These cellulose bodies work as a baby diaper, pick up moisture from the surface and is retained by the gel balls inside, remaining the contact surface dry, favoring its use for longer in better conditions than a towel. cloth.
This body is waterproofed inferiorly by a layer of impermeable surface (6), such as plastic or any other material, which prevents direct contact of moisture retained inside with the bench or backrest (5), eliminating the risk that this It cuts and deteriorates, helping to maintain a good image of the facilities.
On the other hand, the elastic bands (7) are preferably disposed transverse to the body of the cover (1), so as to allow the length of the latter to vary substantially, in such a way that it is capable of adapting to benches or backrests (5). ) of different measures, as well as seats of sports machines, favoring the standardization of the product, saving costs, while the same cover can be used for several different backings, with which the necessary stock is reduced to a minimum.
The lower strips (3) are also made of elastic material, like rubber, so as to allow the cover to be hugged to the back by its lower part.
In order for this coupling to be carried out with greater efficiency, a stretch of elastic strip (8) is provided, starting from one of the lower ones (3), ending on one of the ends of the cover (1), securing the fixing it on the corresponding end of the bench (5), which facilitates the placement. These strips (3, 8) can be joined to the cover by any known method, such as stitching, stapling, clips, etc.
In turn, the body (1) also includes adjustable bands or covers
(4), placed towards the ends of the cover, whether rectangular or similar, or by another method of fastening when it is of more sinuous shapes such as circular, elliptical, etc., such as tapes or the like, although preferably they will use adjustable strips or bands on the backrest
(5) by its lower part, as a corner of the sheet, which fits the respective corner of the backrest (5), so that it can be easily placed and removed, preventing this cover from moving.
Its application is very simple, for this, take the cover (1) that best fits the dimensions of the backrest or seat (5), unfolds on its surface, with the waterproof face (6) towards the seat or backrest ( 5), stretching the corners of the cover until the respective corners of the backrest are reached; in this position the transverse elastic strips (3) are passed under the cover, in addition to the longitudinal strip (8) being hugging the corresponding end of the seat (5), being able to stretch the opposite end of the cover to adjust it, with this end the transversal elastic bands (7) give slightly, according to the direction of the arrows, until the adjustable band (4) can be adjusted over the corners of the backrest, being perfectly adjusted to the bench or backrest (5).
These ribbons or elastic strips (3, 8) can be used, assuming a means of fastening the cover, practical, comfortable and economical, so that they operate independently of the adjustable (4).
In this position, the user can rest his back on this face of the cover (1) based on cellulose layers, so that, as the sweat is generated, it is absorbed by the cellulose layers between which
there are small balls of gel that capture moisture while keeping its surface dry.
When its use is finished, only the elastic hooks (4) have to be released from the corners of the bench or backrest (5), and the ribbons or strips (3 and 8) of the lower part of the backrest must be removed, thereby thanks to the tension maintained by the transverse bands (7), it returns to its original position, ready for a new use in the event that the moisture absorbed by the cellulose body (2) is not excessive for its use.
Within the same field of application, this cover (5) can be used as a mat on the floor, tatami, or other surface, on which physical exercises can be performed, also applicable in gymnasiums and the like, in which only extend it on the surface, the athlete lies on it preventing direct contact on the ground, as well as has its absorbent characteristics.
Once the nature of the present invention has been sufficiently described, as well as a way to put it into practice, we can only add that as a whole and its component parts it is possible to introduce changes in form, material and layout, as long as said Alterations do not substantially vary the features of the invention that are claimed below:
