Abstract

Se describe un metodo y un sistema para el manejo eficiente de agua para plantas cultivadas en al menos un recipiente; para cada recipiente se provee por lo menos una entrada de agua y por lo menos una abertura de drenaje, de tal modo que una abertura de drenaje divide material de particulas contenido dentro de un recipiente en una capa saturada inferior y una capa superior relativamente seca; en cada recipiente se proveen medios graduadores del nivel de agua para graduar la profundidad de la capa de agua que existe en la parte inferior, asi como medios de control de agua para agregar agua a cada recipiente como resultado de la lectura de los medios graduadores del nivel de agua, a fin de mantener un nivel deseado de agua en la parte inferior del recipiente graduado, sin producir un aumento nocivo del nivel de cloruro; raicillas que crecen plagiotropicamente se extienden y se entrelazan con la capa saturada del material de particulas para formar una biomasa.
