Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a genes que codifican sintetasas de acilo-COA de planta y a los metodos de su uso. En particular, la presente invencion se refiere a sintetasas de acilo-coenzima A de planta. La presente invencion abarca formas de tipo silvestre tanto nativas como recombinantes de las enzimas, asi como tambien formas mutantes y variantes, algunas de las cuales poseen caracteristicas alteradas con relacion a la enzima de tipo silvestre. La presente invencion tambien se refiere a metodos para el uso de sintetasas de acilo-COA, incluyendo la expresion alterada en plantas transgenicas y expresion en procariotes y sistemas de cultivo celular.
