Abstract

Un sistema y metodo de control de potencia novedoso para sistemas de telecomunicaciones CDMA permite que se cambie la velocidad de las actualizaciones del control de potencia, de manera adaptable, segun sea necesario, sobre una base progresiva. Hasta la fecha la informacion de control de potencia esta disponible, por medio de un canal de control, para establecer ademas un canal dedicado entre estaciones de una manera eficiente. En una modalidad, se consideran un numero seleccionado previamente de niveles de SNR, que reporta una estacion suscriptora a una estacion base, y si la variacion en estos niveles es menor que una cantidad mas baja seleccionada previamente, se reduce la velocidad a la cual se transmite la informacion de control de potencia (incluyendo los niveles SNR reportados). Si la variacion es mayor que una cantidad mas alta seleccionada previamente, se puede incrementar la velocidad del control de potencia.
