Abstract

Un metodo para optimizar una prescripcion para el tratamiento de la cornea por ablacion con laser o implante oftalmico incluye las etapas de recibir una prescripcion de correccion medida para un paciente actual que tiene un elemento de clasificacion asociado con el mismo, la prescripcion se ha medido utilizando determinacion de frente de onda. Se tiene acceso a una base de datos de resultados de tratamientos en una pluralidad de pacientes previamente tratados, cada resultado de paciente tratado ha asociado con el mismo por lo menos un elemento de clasificacion y que comprende una prescripcion de correccion determinada de frente de onda preoperativa y un perfil visual posoperativo. A partir de los resultados de tratamiento en la base de datos se calcula una diferencia promedio entre la prescripcion preoperativa y el perfil posoperativo para por lo menos parte de los pacientes previamente tratados que tienen un elemento de clasificacion comun con el paciente actual. Finalmente, la prescripcion de correccion de paciente actual se ajusta en proporcion con la diferencia promedio calculada para formar una prescripcion optimizada.
