Abstract

Se describe un aparato para sellar una caja que tiene cuatro aletas superiores inicialmente dispuestas en una posicion abierta. El aparato incluye un sistema transportador para transportar la caja desde un primer extremo del aparato hacia un segundo extremo del aparato. El aparato tambien incluye un sistema de doblez de aleta para doblar las aletas superiores de la caja en posiciones dobladas y horizontales a medida que la caja es transportada desde un primer extremo del aparato hacia un segundo extremo del aparato. El sistema de doblez de aleta tiene un primer miembro de doblez de aleta configurado para doblar una cuarta aleta superior de la caja, un segundo miembro de doblez de aleta superior configurado para doblar una segunda aleta superior de la caja, un par de miembros de doblez de aleta laterales dispuestos en forma opuesta configurados para doblar una primera y tercera aletas superiores de la caja para topar una con la otra. Un sistema de surtido de cinta esta configurado para surtir una cinta a traves de por lo menos una porcion de las tercera y cuarta aletas de la caja con el fin de mantener las tercera y cuarta aletas superiores en una relacion de tope una con la otra, sellando asi la caja.
