Abstract

Se proporciona un metodo para el procesamiento de video digital y un aparato para el mismo. El metodo para el procesamiento de imagenes digitales, recibidas en la forma de corrientes de video comprimidas, comprende el paso de determinar un histograma de intensidad de region (RIH) en base a la informacion de compensacion del movimiento de los cuadros intermedios. La informacion del RIH se obtiene en base a los valores de compensacion del movimiento de los cuadros intermedios, y la informacion del RIH es un buen indicador de la informacion del movimiento de una escena de video. Tambien, dado que la informacion del RIH es un indicador bastante bueno de la intensidad de la escena de video, las corrientes de video que tienen intensidades similares, pueden buscarse efectivamente buscando escenas de video similares en base a la informacion del RIH obtenida a traves del metodo para el procesamiento de video digital.
