Description

ILLUMINATED PANEL DEVICE CAPABLE OF BEING APPLIED TO POSTS TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to an illuminated panel capable of being applied to poles, in particular, poles for road lighting or the like. The device is intended for the display of publicity and / or notices or communications also of the public service.
PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE In the current urban decoration, especially in large cities, you can see widely illuminated panels. Generally, they present broad flat surfaces, installed, generally opposite each other, on support elements of different sizes and shapes, carrying images and / or illuminated legends with light sources, generally fluorescent or incandescent lamps placed between such surfaces flat in a container similar to a box. The purpose of the illuminated panels is to make more visible at a distance advertisements or informative placed on the flat surfaces that if they were illuminated only by incidental light, in order to more effectively call the attention of motorists and pedestrians during night hours. To allow backlighting, the light sources, usually the so-called neon lamps, are inserted between said flat surfaces, generally made of transparent plastic material. This known type of illuminated panels with backlit surfaces presents some disadvantages. In them, the lighting is not evenly distributed over the entire surface to be illuminated and, therefore, causes poor definition of the profiles of the images or legends to be illuminated. A low level of visual quality is determined, thus weakening the communication effectiveness of an advertising message. In addition, the luminosity of known panels, with the strong contrasts of the light coming out of them, creates a dazzling effect, or in any case annoying, for those who observe, while a very weak light leads them to turn their gaze away. of the image or legend. In addition, the current advertising display structures require extensive deployment surfaces and require scaffolding, racks, supports, and other bulky support structures, which generally tend to negatively influence a landscape and in particular, a decoration. urban The costs of these illuminated panels are increased, in addition to the provision of such structures, also by the need to connect them to a suitable source of electrical energy. Moreover, the current illuminated panels are unidirectional, as they are only visible from the front, unless arched panel surfaces, visible from multiple directions, are created.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention, therefore, is to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages manifested by illuminated panels of the prior art. In particular, an object of the present invention is to allow uniform illumination of images and / or legends. Another objective of the present invention is to create an illumination of images and / or legends, which does not cause nuisance to motorists and pedestrians and which complies with the provisions of the Road Regulations, in particular, not to damage road traffic. A further objective of the invention is to allow viewing images and / or legends with high definition, in a clear and attractive manner. A further objective of the present invention is to produce illuminated panels, which do not require bulky structures that can negatively impact the landscape. Another objective of the present invention is to provide sets of illuminated panels visible from multiple directions.
A further objective of the invention is to produce an illuminated panel which allows the easy replacement of the images and / or legend to be displayed, without requiring a great utilization of means and operative personnel. A further object of the invention is to produce illuminated panels which do not involve problems for connection to a grid of electrical power supply. These and other objectives, are achieved through a display of illuminated panel capable of being applied to poles, in particular, street lighting poles or similar, for the deployment of advertising and / or notices or communications also of the public service, which, from a point of general view, it is characterized in that it comprises at least one board consisting of: - a frame having on its horizontal sides, elongated lower and upper plates, both provided on opposite sides, with accommodation sites for a panel and, on the sides corresponding, with means for fixing to a road lighting pole or the like, as vertical sides, two hollow section supports with longitudinal opening to house a panel; - a panel for the illuminated display of images and / or legends, having lower and upper edges received in said respective accommodation sites obtained in said upper and lower elongate plates and side edges inserted and supported by said supports in their longitudinal housing opening; - means to control, turn on and illuminate the panel; - a covering and finishing element movably attached to said upper elongated plate; said lower elongated plate being provided, in correspondence with the respective ends of said panel receiving site, with a pair of equal receiving cavities, of the section forming the lower extremities of said supports; said upper elongated plate being provided, in correspondence with the respective ends of said site panel housing, with a pair of holes with exit of the section forming the upper ends of said supports, respective closing plugs being provided for said holes with exit . Advantageously, the structures for supporting the panels illuminated according to the invention are represented by elements already present in an urban decoration, such as light poles or the like, thus considerably reducing the installation costs of the same panels. Moreover, the illuminated panels according to the invention, which are mounted on light poles, are advantageously close to an electric power supply line and this allows a considerable additional saving in their installation costs. The additional features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of preferred embodiments, illustrated simply by way of non-limiting indication in the accompanying drawings.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Figure 1 shows an enlarged schematic axonometric view of a first embodiment of a device with a simple illuminated panel according to the present invention; Figure 2 shows an enlarged and partially sectioned axonometric view of a device with three illuminated panels according to the present invention applied to a road lighting pole or the like; Figure 3 shows an enlarged and partially sectioned axonometric view of a variation of the device of Figure 2; Figure 4 shows a schematic axonometric view of the device of Figures 2 and 3.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ILLUSTRATED MODALITIES With reference to a first embodiment of the invention, FIG. 1 shows, in an enlarged axonometric view, a device with a simple illuminated panel. The panel frame (as shown has a rectangular shape, but its shape may be different) has, on its horizontal sides, an elongated plate infepor 1 and an elongated upper plate 2 and, on its vertical sides, two supports, 3, 4 with hollow section. The elongated plates 1 and 2 and the supports 3, 4 delimit a panel 5. In this first embodiment, the panel 5 is constituted by a plate of plastic material, for example polycarbonate, or of a different material. In order to hold the panel 5, the elongated plates 1 and 2 are provided, on mutually opposite plates (Figure 1 shows only the face 10 of the elongated plate 1), with accommodation sites 11, fitted with sealing gaskets. The accommodation site 11 of the elongated plate 1 has two linear projections 12 and 13 designed to receive and hold in its internal space a lower edge 50 of the panel 5. The supports 3, 4 have an open hollow profile section. The section is shown circular, but it can also be polygonal. It has an opening 30, 40 for the insertion of lateral edges 51, 52 of the panel into the respective supports 3, 4. Between the panel 5 and the supports 3 and 4, sealing packages (not shown) can be provided. To form a frame, the lower elongate plate 1 is provided, in correspondence with the ends of the panel receiving site 11, with a pair of equal receiving cavities 15, 16 with the section forming the lower limb section 31, 41 the supports 3, 4. These limbs can be adjusted in the cavities 15, 16 with the interposition of a sealing gasket. The upper elongated plate 2 is similarly provided with a pair of holes with outlet 20, 21 for the upper ends 32, 42 of the supports 3, 4. The holes 20, 21 have their section that agrees with that of the supports 3. , 4, but with a higher surface area in order to allow it to be pulled upwards. The holes 20, 21 are closed with respective closure plugs 22, 23 clamped by the elongated plate 2. The elongated plate 2 is topped by a cover element 25 intended to serve as a protection and finished for the frame. The lower and upper elongated plates 1 and 2 have on their corresponding sides 14, 24, means 6, 7 to be fixed to a road lighting pole or the like 8 shown in figures 2 to 4. The fastening means 6, 7 are substantially identical and therefore, only the superiors, indicated with 7, will be described in the following. They are constituted by a bracket 70 for fastening to the post, by a bracket 71 for fastening to the elongated plate 2 of the frame and by a telescopic arm 72. The bracket 70 for fixing to the post by means of screws is duly curved and integral to a first segment of the telescopic arm 72, while the bracket 71 for fastening to the frame by means of screws, is integral with a second segment of the same arm. The two segments of the telescopic arm 72 are capable of sliding each other and of being secured in a conventional manner, once the desired distance of the frame from the pole has been determined. The fastening means 6, 7 have been shown as individual and are centrally positioned. Naturally, they can be double, as an alternative, with a different arrangement in the lower and upper elongated plates. According to this first embodiment, where the panel 5 is constituted by a sheet of transparent material that carries images and / or legends to be illuminated, the supports 3, 4 are made of opaque material. Within them, at least two fluorescent lamps, generically indicated with the number 9, are housed in related lamp end fasteners (generically indicated with the number 90). The lamps 9 are intended to emit light only through the longitudinal openings 30, 40 of the supports 3, 4 within the edges 51, 52 of the panel 5 in the form of a plate. In a conventional manner, the lamps 9, through the respective lamp holders 90, are connected to a power supply circuit having, for example, an electric ignition 91, located on the elongated plate 2 and housed in a box of airtight protection 92. Advantageously, this power supply circuit is connected to a road lighting line, which lights the lamp or lamps supported by the pole and which is subordinated to a start control regulated by a sensor of ambient light (not shown in the drawings) Conveniently, although not shown in the drawings, the plate constituting the panel 5 is machined to present a surface with microprisms for the diffusion of the light emitted therein by the fluorescent lamps. In Figures 2 to 4, the illuminated panel device according to the invention is shown in a configuration with three boards joined individually through the securing means to the post 8. As shown in Figure 2, the images and / or legends to be illuminated are produced in a film, indicated as 53, capable of being adhesively and movably applied to the surface facing the outside of the plate. Alternatively, the panel plate 5 is treated with screen printing or otherwise printed. In a second embodiment of the invention, instead of being constituted by a plate, the panel 5 can be constituted by an illuminated display of different images and / or legends, indicated as 54 in figure 2. The deployment can be constituted by a LED or plasma panel or by a panel of a different type. NaturallyIf the panel 5 is an illuminated display of these types, the supports do not fulfill the purpose of containing the fluorescent lamps, but only that of supporting the panel. The deployment control means, not described below, are comprised in the related communication system with a remote station (not shown in the drawings) and are capable of receiving communication or notification messages to be displayed in the panel. Similarly, the panel in the form of a plate and the means for controlling, turning on and illuminating the illuminated display, intended to be located close to it, are placed on an elongated upper plate 2 and housed in a hermetically sealed protective box 92. The deployment is connected to an electric power supply line independent of the road lighting line subordinated to ambient light sensors. Alternatively, the deployment can be connected to the same street lighting network; in this case, the control, power supply, and lighting means include a compensating battery (not shown here). As shown in Figure 3, the illuminated panel device according to the invention, in one of its variations, comprises sensors, indicated generally with the number 93, for the detection of polluting substances contained in the atmosphere. The sensors, through specialized radio lines or transmission, send air pollution data to a remote unit, which in turn can send warning messages to be displayed on a panel of the illuminated panel device of the invention. As an alternative to the configurations shown, although none expressly shown here, the device according to the invention can be produced only with two panels applied individually to a lighting pole or the like in opposite positions. The configuration with the panels fastened in consecutive positions, with the adjacent supports, is advantageous because it allows to visualize the same images from multiple directions.
The device with three illuminated panels shown in Figures 2 to 4, has a cover element 26, formed according to a configuration with a substantially triangular planar shape and provided with a central hole 27. The cover element 26 therefore, it may comprise three integral molded elements, generically indicated with the number 28, approximate to the street lighting post or the like. The cover element 26 is intended to be movably placed and held in the respective upper elongated plates of the three boards. It may be convenient for at least one panel of the three panels to be constituted by an illuminated display of different images and / or legends, while the other two may be constituted by a panel in the form of an illuminated plate. Naturally, the invention thus conceived can be subject to numerous modifications and variations, without departing from the scope of the inventive concept.
