Abstract

The dispenser comprises a plunger (14) operating in a hollow body (12). The body (12) has formed adjacent its upper end an inward and downward annular flap (100). Below the flap (100) is a vent hole (27). The plunger stem (51) has a tapered zone (80) leading to a greater diameter (82) above the tapered zone (80). When the plunger (14) is in its lockdown position, the flap (100) cooperates with the greater diameter (82) to provide a vent seal.

Description

DISPENSER OF THE PUMP THAT HAS A SEAL IN THE FORM OF A PACK FIELD OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to a distributor of the pump wherein a plunger has an impeller in the upper part that performs a reciprocating movement within the body of a cylindrical hollow. More specifically, this invention relates to a distributor where, at the bottom of the piston, a complete movement occurs and in a closed condition at the bottom, a seal closes a vent hole. • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The application of the North American patent Series No. 09 / 079,481 registered May 15, 1998, assigned to our assignee) discloses a distributor of meritorious liquid comprising 0 a body of the hole and a plunger of a piece that it includes an impeller portion and the piston portion. The disclosure of the patent application is incorporated herein by reference. The plunger includes a barrel and a piston head 5 elongated at its lower end. Between the canyon and The head forms a shore that is oriented upwards. The inlet and outlet of the check valves are provided and a spring pushes the plunger upwards. The body has near the upper end an internal fin inward and downward which, when coupled with the edge, stops the upward movement of the plunger. A vent hole is formed in the body. The fin is above the hole vent, it is in position to vent seal. Since the arrangement of the patent application is truly meritorious, there has been a need for an improved vented seal particularly in a closed position in the background.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention, of course, is described in the claimed language annexed here. In summary, Under the present invention, the piston cannon is formed with an area with gradual elongation in an upward direction to a portion of the larger diameter. For most plunger trips, the fin just enters contact with the cannon. While the plunger achieves ^^^ g ^^^^^^^^^ gg ^^^^^^^^^^^^ g ^^^^ and jj a closed position in the lower part, near the end of the complete movement, nonetheless , the fin engages in the gradual decrease and then the larger diameter in an interface is adjusted and a seal is achieved.
Therefore the fin performs two functions: as a fin stop highlights enough above the barrel that it serves as a cleaner and to attach the edge that describes a limit of upward movement of the plunger and, incidentally, to effect a seal between the fin and the edge in the upper position. In the closed position in the part below, the flap fits firmly with the widest diameter to effect a seal.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS • Other objectives and characteristics of the The invention will be elucidated by a person skilled in the art with a review of the following specification and drawings, all presenting a non-limiting form of the invention. In the drawings: 25 Fig. 1 is a partially sectional elevational view of the plunger and the body of a dispenser representing the invention; Fig. 2 is a partially sectioned view of a distributor of the assembled pump representing the invention; Y Fig. 3 is a sectional view enlarged 10 separated from a portion of Fig. 3.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED MODALITY A distributor of the pump representing the invention is generally designated 10 in FIG. 2. This comprises a cylindrical body of the recess 12 and a cooperating one-piece piston 14.
Referring more specifically to body 12, essentially cup-shaped including a bottom wall 18 which is formed centrally with an inlet opening 20 surrounded by a descending tubular connector 22 receiving a descent tube (not shown). Above aperture 20 a beveled ring seat is formed upwards 24. A side wall of the cylinder It is extended upwardly from the perimeter of the lower wall 18 and ends in a circular mouth 26A.
The side wall 26 (Fig. 1) extends upwards and is formed with a vent opening 27. Above the vent opening the side wall is formed with an outward step 28 (Fig. 2). Out of the side wall is extends an integral annular edge 36. A lock (not shown, but shown in the patent application) couples the edge in a conventional manner. In use, the closure is made in a container with the body 12 of the pump placed on the neck of the container.
The plunger 14 comprises an elongated tubular piston 50. The piston 50 is defined by a barrel 51 and an elongate tubular piston head 52 in the lower end of the barrel. Intermediate of the head and the barrel is formed an ascending annular edge 54. The lower end of the head is formed with an annular seal 56 which is sealedly coupled to the inside of the side wall 26 of the body 12. The plunger 14 is tubular, formed with an axial passage (not shown).
At the upper end of the plunger 14 and unitarily within it is the impeller 70. The impeller 70 is formed therein with a compartment of the check valve (not shown). A portion of the laterally extending impeller 70 forms the peak 78 having a discharge passage (not shown).
Both the body 12 and the plunger 14 are molded from a plastic that is flexible in the thinner sections and rigid in the thicker sections. The flexibility in the thinner sections is used to advance the seal of the piston 56 and in the fin 100 adjacent to the side wall 28, will be explained.
The positioning of the valve for the dispenser comprises the entry of a retention ball (not shown but shown in the patent application) that sits in the seat 24 at the lower end of the body 12, and the exit of the ball of retention (not ° > & * ^ ^ «» ^^ i »-» - - •• ^^^ «SEE. ^ sample). A spring (not shown) is placed comprehensively between the bottom wall 18 of the body and urges the plunger upwards.
The operation of the pump distributor is well known in the art exemplified by the patent application.
The body 12 is formed at the stop 28 with an internal ring and an under seal and retains the fin 100.
In the assembly of the pump (Fig. 1) the plunger 14 is inserted inside the body 12. The end The lower part of the piston head 52 engages the upper side of the fin 100. Another insert separates the fin, and while the edge 54 (Fig.l) of the piston passes the fin 100, the fin 100 is fastened internally to the side of the piston. 51 cannon of the piston. Any accidental or intentional attempt to retract the plunger will stop while the edge 54 on the piston engages the distant flange of the fin 100. Therefore the fin becomes a closure, trapping the plunger in the body. The coupling also provides a seal between the emtool and the edge at the upper end of the complete movement of the plunger. Between the upper and lower limits, the fin slightly engages the barrel that functions as a cleaner for washing inside it.
The distributor is transported in a closed condition. Separated below the finger-shaped coupling portion of the impeller 70, the plunger is formed with side handles which cooperates with bayonet channels 88 to close the plunger 14 in the lower part during transportation and when it is not in use.
The barrel 51 is formed with an area with gradual decrease 80 (Fig. 3) that grows more in diameter while the upper end of the plunger is approaching. Above zone 80 the plunger has a wider portion of diameter 82, wider than the smaller zone. When the fin engages this part of the rod, there is a defined interference fit.
Thus, when the plunger closes, the fin adaptably couples the area of the diameter more ^ ^^^^^ á ^ ^^ mM wide 82. Because the fin 100 is above the vent hole 27, this coupling is sealed against the liquid in the container when work is disturbed through the vent hole, between the plunger and the body and the outlet of the upper part of the distributor.
Therefore, the flap 100 is molded integrally with the body 12, it functions as: 10 (1) an even stop to limit the upward travel of the plunger and prevent its removal from the body and upon finding the edge and also incidentally serves as a seal between the body and the plunger in the upper part of the complete movement; (2) a cleaner to remove cleaning solution adhering to the rod, (3) A seal for the vent hole when the plunger is in a closed position at the bottom. • Variations on the invention are possible. Therefore, since the invention has shown only one modality, it is not limited but it is of a scope defined by the following claimed language that can be extended by a extension of the right to exclude others for ife-j ^ -g = ^ g - ^ - a ^ daa & ^^ a ^ - ^ i make them, using or sealing the invention as is appropriate under the doctrine of equivalents.
It is noted that in relation to this date, the best method known to the applicant to carry out the aforementioned invention, is that which is clear from the present invention.
Having described the invention as above, the content of the following is claimed as property.
