Abstract

The present invention is directed to a marking product of a substrate by means of the placement of a signal optically verifiable having a transparent hologram, characterized because said optically verifiable signal is constituted by an active structure to be stuck on the substrate to secure and a protection temporal structure, the active structure comprises, from the substrate, a lower adhesive layer, u layer having information zones formed of opaque pigments to the infrared ones, a layer of opaque pigments in the visible and transparent in the infrared, a layer of material with high HRI reflectivity, and a stamped varnish forming a transparent hologram, the transparent hologram is coated by a release layer securing a temporal relation with a polyester thread, these two latter elements constitute the protection temporal structure.

Description

PRODUCT OF MARKING OF A SUBSTRATE THROUGH THE PLACEMENT OF AN OPTICALLY VERIFIABLE SIGNAL The present invention relates to the field of marking documents and products. The use of security signals employing transparent holograms is known in the state of the art. The invention relates to the improvement of these signals, for the hot marking of documents by products that are difficult to reproduce, and which allows the verification of possible substitutions. The invention relates in its most general meaning to a marking product of a substrate by placing an optically verifiable signal having a transparent hologram, characterized in that said optically verifiable signal is constituted by an active structure intended to be glued onto the substrate that a temporary protective structure is to be ensured, the active structure comprising, seen from the substrate, a lower adhesive layer, a layer comprising information zones formed of infrared-opaque pigments, a layer of opaque pigments in the visible and transparent in the infrared, a layer of a material of high reflectivity HRI, and a stamped varnish that forms a transparent hologram, the transparent hologram is covered by a layer of detachment that ensures a temporary relationship with a polyester thread, the latter two elements constitute the temporary protection structure. Advantageously, the information zones formed of opaque pigments to the infrared are correlated with the information printed on the substrate. According to a first variant, the information areas formed from opaque to infrared pigments are formed by bar codes. According to a second variant, the information zones formed of infrared-opaque pigments are formed by two-dimensional coded matrices. Preferably, the marking product according to the invention is made in the form of a coil comprising a plurality of marking signals. Advantageously, the coil has a continuous printing of longitudinally oriented bar codes on which the optically verifiable signals are placed. The invention also relates to a secured substrate comprising a printed surface covered by an optically verifiable signal characterized in that the substrate has an impression of first information and in that the optically verifiable signal is a product according to at least one of the preceding claims, Information zones formed of opaque to infrared pigments are constituted by signals correlated with said first information. According to an advantageous variant, the first information and the information areas formed of opaque pigments to the infrared are constituted by correlated bar codes. According to another variant, the first information and the information areas formed of opaque pigments to the infrared are constituted by correlated two-dimensional coded matrices. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a marking product consisting of an active structure intended to be glued onto the substrate to be secured and a temporary protective structure, the active structure comprising, as seen from the substrate, a lower adhesive layer , a layer comprising information zones formed of infrared-opaque pigments, a layer of opaque pigments in the visible and transparent in the infrared, a layer of a material of high reflectivity HRI, and a stamped varnish forming a transparent hologram, the transparent hologram is covered by a release layer that ensures a temporal relationship with a polyester thread, these last two elements constitute the temporary protection structure characterized in that the substrate is prepared continuously to form a band whose length is greater than the dimensions in a hundred times the largest dimension of a marking signal.
The present invention will be better understood by reading the description of a non-limiting example of the following embodiment, referring to the attached drawings where the only Figure represents a sectional view of a document marked with a product according to the invention. The substrate (1) can be constituted by an invoice, by the fight against false invoices, a check, a bank note, or a label or a wrapper for the fight against parallel imports. It takes the impressions (10) opaque only in the infrared or totally opaque both in the visible and infrared spectrum, for example by printing in black or colored ink. These impressions (10) are constituted by codes such as bar codes or coded matrices. The multilayer marking signal is bonded by a layer (2) of adhesive. It has inscriptions (3) formed by a particular pigment that is transparent in infrared radiation but opaque in the visible spectrum. These pigments form a second zone of coded information, in the form of the bar code or coded matrices. This information is covered by a layer (4) of a material of high reflectivity HRI, it is superimposed by a stamping varnish (5) forming a transparent hologram. The marking signal is protected before being placed on the substrate by a polyester film (7) deposited on the transparent hologram (5) by means of a release layer (6). The two information zones are correlated so as to allow a verification of the integrity of a marked substrate. The correlation is made by a secret algorithm that allows a controller to verify whether the two information is compliant or not. The information printed on the substrate is not visible in normal clarity, but only under infrared, which makes it difficult to falsify and also the verification by an unauthorized person. Also the knowledge of the hidden information does not allow the falsification of the document, since only the knowledge of the coding algorithm allows to calculate a valid complementary information. Preferably, the correlation algorithm is of a non-bijective type, so that it prevents the prediction of complementary legal information from a first known information. A particular embodiment consists in producing the marking product in the form of a continuous band, the length of which is much greater than the dimensions of a marking signal. This procedure allows to print the code in continuous on the band and receive the manufacturing cost. This procedure also allows the placement of different codes on the same coil, or also the personalization of the coils depending on the user who places the marking signals. The code is personalized in a unique way for each user.
