Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a una película de multiples capas que tiene una primera capa externa, una capa interna y una segunda capa externa. La primera capa externa consiste en un copolímero homogéneo etileno/alfaolefina. La capa interna consiste en un elastomero termoplástico. La segunda capa externa consiste en un segundo copolímero etileno/alfaolefina. La capa interna se encuentra entre la primera y la segunda capa externa, y es diferente químicamente de la primera capa externa y la segunda capa externa. La película de multiples capas tiene una velocidad de transmision de O2 desde aproximadamente 500 a 50,000 cc/m² 24 h, stp, y un modulo de al menos 60,000 psi. La película de multiples capas es especialmente util para empacar productos sensibles al O2, como productos agrícolas. El modulo elevado de la película mejora su funcionamiento en operaciones de formado, llenado y sellado.
