Abstract
Las resinas epoxídicas, particularmente aquellas basadas en bis-fenosl-A, pueden constituir del componente del polímero formador de película principal de una composicion de autodeposicion estable durante el almacenamiento cuando la distribucion de tamaño de las partículas de todos los polímeros formadores de película en la composicion llena los siguientes criterios: (1) El tamaño medio de la partícula de dispersion de luz es por lo menos de aproximadamente 100 pero no mayor de aproximadamente 300 nanometros; (2) no más de aproximadamente 1.0 por ciento del volumen de las partículas de dispersion de luz consiste de partículas con un diámetro mayor de aproximadamente 450 nanometros; (3) no más de aproximadamente 25 por ciento del volumen de las partículas de dispersion de luz consiste de partículas con un diámetro mayor de aproximadamente 250 nanometros; (4) no más de aproximadamente el 50 por ciento del volumen de partículas de dispersion de luz consiste de partículas con un diámetro mayor de aproximadamente 200 nanometros; (5) no más de aproximadamente el 75 por ciento del volumen de las partículas de dispersion de luz consiste de partículas con un diámetro mayor de aproximadamente 175 nanometros. Esta dispersion puede lograrse convenientemente usando un proceso de dos etapas en el cual una solucion de los polímeros formadores de película se emulsionan en agua para formar una dispersion preliminar, y ésta dispersion preliminar se somete por lo menos a una etapa de refinacion de tamaño de partículas en donde la dispersion preliminar es forzada a través de una abertura angosta.
