Abstract

Se dan a conocer polipéptidos de VEGF3 humano y el ADN (ARN) que codifica tales polipéptidos de VEGF3. También se suministra un procedimiento para producir tales polipéptidos, por técnicas recombinantes y anticuerpos y antagonistas contra tal polipéptido. Igualmente se revela un método para usar estos polipéptidos para estimular la cicatrizacion de heridas y para la reparacion del tejido vascular. También se suministran métodos que usan los antagonistas para inhibir el crecimiento de tumores, inflamaciones y tratar la retinopatía diabética, la artritis reumatoide y la psoriasis. Métodos de diagnostico para detectar mutaciones en la secuencia que codifica el VEGF3 y alteraciones en la concentracion de la proteína del VEGF3 en una muestra derivada de un huésped, también se dan a conocer.
