Abstract

Se describe métodos y aparatos para mejorar y optimizar el suministri de diversidad de trayectoria en un sistema de comunicaciones a base de repetidores de satélite, conservando de esa manera tanto los canales de FDM como la utilizacion de la potencia del satélite. Se mejora la recepcion de las comunicaciones cuando se bloquea o se debilita severamente uno o más de los transmisores del repetidor de satélite en orbita, reconociendo la necesidad de la diversidad de trayectoria de satélite sobre una base de tiempo real o tiempo casi real. Un terminal de usuario es habilitada así para recibir suficiente potencia de señal para evitar que una llamada que está entrando sea terminada automáticamente. El sistema eleva al optimo la diversidad de la trayectoria de satélite aplicada a: (a) las clases (tipos) de terminales de usuario y/o (b) a los terminales de usuario individuales, como una funcion de la localizacion y también de un ambiente de propagacion de RF local, de terminalde usuario. Adicionalmente la invencion enseña una consideracion de los recursos de satélite que están disponibles en cualquier punto dato del tiempo, y puede restringir o limitar la disponibilidad de la diversidad de la trayectoria de satélite, incrementando de esa manera la capacidad del sistema de control que va en aumento.
