Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a en un medidor de energía eléctrica que contienen medios en el mismo para medir una cantidad de energía eléctrica generada por un suministrador y transferida por medio de una lína de suministro de energía hacia una carga de un consumidor durante un intervalo de tiempo de medicion de enrgía, un método para monitorear las variaciones en la cantidad medida de energía eléctrica, que comprende los pasos de: detectar un voltaje de línea transferido por medio de la línea de suministro de energía a la carga durante el intervalo de tiempo de medicion de nergía; detectar un aumento en una magnitud del voltaje de línea detectado desde un nivel de voltaje aceptable hasta un nivel mayor que el primer voltaje de umbral de impulso, después del inicio de un intervalo de tiempo de impulso durante el cual la magnitud del voltaje de línea detectado es un todo momento mayor que el nivel de voltaje aceptable; registar en evento de impulso si la magnitud del voltaje de línea detectado excede el nivel de voltaje aceptable para una primera cantidad predetermindad de tiempo después del inicio de intervalo de tiempo de impulso; y después comunicar el evento de impulso regostrado a por lo menos el suministrador o consumidor anted de concluir con el intervalo de tiempo de impulso.
