Abstract

Se provee una composicion modificadora de acrílico para mejorar la resistencia al impacto de composiciones de poliéster que comprende entre aproximadamente 10% a aproximadamente 90% en peso de un primer componente seleccionado a partir del grupo que consiste de un copolímero de etileno/acrilato de alquilo y copolímero de etileno/metacrilato de alquilo, en el que dicho alquilo es de C1 a C10; y entre aproximadamente 10% a aproximadamente 90% en peso de un segundo componente seleccionado del grupo de terpolímeros que consiste de etileno/acrilato de alquilo/metacrilato de glicidilo; etileno/acrilato de alquilo/acrilato de glicidilo; etileno/metacrilato de alquilo/acrilato de glicidilo; y etileno/metacrilato de alquilo/metacrilato de glicidilo, en donde dicho alquilo es de C1 a C10; se describen composiciones de poliéster endurecidas mediante la adicion de la composicion modificadora, al igual que artículos moldeados a partir de estas composiciones y procedimientos para formar estas composiciones de poliéster.
