Abstract

Se ha encontrado nuevas cepas bacterianas de la especie B. firmus, las cuales una actividad nematicida. La bacteria y sus mutantes activas se usan para controlar infestacion de nematodos de varias plantas. Las cepas se han depositado y se les ha dado los numeros de acceso CNCM I-1562 respectivamente. Además, se describe una composicion que contiene las cepas o esporas de las mismas, como un ingrediente activo y vehículo. Además, se describe también un método para controlar nematodos patogénicos para plantas, tales como aquellos nematodos capaces de producir enfermedad nodular.
