Abstract
Se da a conocer un conector eléctrico con un sello de cordon para fijarse en un extremo de un cordon eléctrico para impedir que el polvo, la humedad y otra materia extraña entre en el conector eléctrico. El conector eléctrico de preferencia es un cuerpo del conector de una pluralidad de contactos eléctricos montados en el mismo, y la cubierta está acoplada con el cuerpo del conector. La cubierta tiene una pared de extremo con sello de cordon montado en la misma de tal manera que la superficie externa del sello de cordon por lo menos queda esencialmente nivelado con respecto a la superficie exterior de la pared de extremo de la cubierta, a fin de aumentar la dificultad para remover el sello de cordon desde la abertura en la pared de extremo de la cubierta. En otras palabras, la geometría de la superficie exterior de la pared de extremo de la cubierta se combina con la geometría de la superficie externa del sello de cordon. El conector eléctrico puede ser ya sea un conector eléctrico macho o un conector eléctrico hembra.
