Abstract
The present invention relates to an electrode plate of a battery to prevent separation of activating material adhered to an end portion of the electrode plate, and a manufacturing method thereof. After coating activating substance in a paste state on a charge collecting body of metal, the charge collecting body is dried, press-rolled and cut and thus the edge of side surface of the cut electrode plate has weak adhesion strength relative to the other portion thereof. Then, adhesion substance such as polyvinyl alcohol is coated to prevent separation of the activating substance at the edge of the cut electrode plate.
