Abstract

Se proporciona un pozo mejorado para muestra para llevar a cabo un proceso biologico o químico, como por ejemplo un ensayo de ácido nucléico o bien un inmunoensayo, en una muestra líquida. El pozo para muestra incluye una tapa con una abertura restringida suficiente en cuanto a tamaño para recibir el extremo distante de una punta de pipeta desechable. La punta de pipeta se inserta inicialmente en la abertura para introducir una muestra líquida en el pozo para muestra, y permanece en la abertura durante el período de reaccion de la muestra con un reactivo contenido dentro del pozo para muestra. De esta forma, la punta de la pipeta cierra efectivamente el pozo para muestra mientras se lleva a cabo la reaccion, reduciendo así pérdidas de muestra debido a la evaporacion y evitando una contaminacion cruzada con muestras contenidas en pozos adyacentes para muestra. Los pozos para muestra pueden también construirse de materiales diferentes o bien incluir materiales diferentes que llevan a cabo funciones diferentes en el proceso biologico o químico, permitiendo así el ensamblaje de grupos diferentes de pozos para muestra para formatos diferentes de ensayo.
