Abstract
La estimacion de disparidad entre los valores de luminancia del pixel de vista derecha e izquierda en una señal de video estereoscopica se optimiza al determinar el mínimo error de cuadro mínimo entre los macrobloques de las imágenes de vista derecha e izquierda. También se determina los coeficientes de transformacion afines y los vectores de disparidad que corresponde al error mínimo y se transmiten en la corriente de datos para utilizarse por un decodificador al reconstruir la imagen de vista derecha. El esquema puede implementarse y sea, localmente en el nivel de macrobloque o de manera global en el nivel de imagen.. En el nivel de macrobloque, la optimizacion del mínimo error cuadro puede ocurrir para cada macrobloque individual en la imagen de vista derecha. En esta caso, se proporcionan los coeficientes de transformacion afines par cada macrobloque. En el nivel de imagen, la suma de los mínimos errores de cuadro se minimiza después de que se comparan los bloques de la imagen de vista derecha con la imagen de vista izquierda. En este caso solo se requiere un conjunto de coeficientes de transformacion afines para la imagen de vista derecha completa. O, puede realizarse la comparacion de bloques entre una imagen de vista izquierda transformada de manera afín con la imagen de vista derecha, después de minimizar la suma de los mínimos errores de cuadro. El esquema es particularmente util para minimizar los efectos del desequilibrio de luminancia de canal transversal debido a las variaciones de la cámara y las escenas con cambios significativos en la brillantes o el contraste, y es compatible con los sistemas de video estereoscopicos tales como el sistema MPEG de Perfil de Multiples Vistas (MVP).
