Abstract

Se describe un aparato para el control del flujo, para mejorar la flotacion de inclusion en una artesa de fundidora continua, que comprende una dama (3) posicionada corriente abajo de un cojinete (5) de impacto y una fuente (4) de energía posicionada entre la dama (3) y la boquilla de salida (2) de la artesa. La dama (3) recibe una corriente entrante de metal fundido liberada del cojinete (5) de impacto y redirige la corriente de metal fundido a multiples corrientes de subflujo las cuales transportan inclusiones arrastradas hacia una cubierta de la escoria sobre la superficie del baño de metal fundido para mejorar la flotacion por inclusion. La fuente (4) de energía provee medios para restaurar la energía cinética a las corrientes de subflujo e incrementar el numero de paso por debajo de la cubierta de la escoria, para mejorar mediante esto la flotacion por inclusion.
