Abstract

Las metansulfonamidas (S)-enantioméricas están estructuralmente ilustradas por la Formula I: o sus sales farmacologicamente aceptables, donde R3 es un alquilo de C1-9 sustituido con un átomo de fluor. Estos compuestos son utiles como agentes antiarrítmicos de Clase III sin el efecto lateral indeseable de taquicardia ventricular polimorfica (PVT) y son estables contra metabolismo acelerado. También se describen los métodos para tratar arrítmicas cardíacas con los compuestos de la Formula I así como también las composiciones del mismo.
