Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a una composicion de látex la cual comprende: una fase líquida seleccionada a partir de agua, solventes miscibles en agua, o mezclas de los mismos; y desde aproximadamente el 5% hasta aproximadamente el 50% por peso de partículas de látex dispersadas en la fase acuosa. Las partículas de látex comprende un nucleo elastomérico hidrofobico y una caparazon exterior hidrofílica adherida al nucleo. El nucleo comprende un polímero que comprende una o más unidades monoméricas formadoras de elastomero y una o más unidades monoméricas con contenido de carboxilato. La caparazon comprende porciones L - X en donde L comprende un grupo hidrocarbilo hidrofobico que contiene uno o más enlaces insaturados y X es un grupo hidrofílico. La presente invencion se refiere adicionalmente a un proceso para la fabricacion de dicha composicion de látex. La presente invencion se refiere a una hoja de papel y a una estructura absorbente (por ejemplo, pañal desechable) que comprende dicha composicion de látex.
