Abstract

En la presente invencion se proporciona un método para la determinacion de la conductividad eléctrica de una formacion de tierra de diferentes capas de tierra, por lo cual una perforacion de sondeo, que contiene un fluido de perforacion, se extiende a través de esa formacion. El método comprende hacer descender una herramienta para la generacion de perfiles o diagrafías, por induccion, dentro de la perforacion de sondeo hasta un sitio rodeado por una de las capas de tierra seleccionada, la herramienta comprende un medio transmisor de campo magnético, adecuado para inducir campos magnéticos de diferentes frecuencias en las capas de tierra, y un medio receptor de campo magnético adecuado para recibir campos magnéticos de respuesta a diferentes espaciamientos del medio de induccion y para proporcionar una señal representativa de cada campo magnético de respuesta. Se seleccionan al menos dos de las diferentes frecuencias y al menos dos de los diferentes espaciamientos, y para diferentes combinaciones de cada frecuencia seleccionada y de cada espaciamiento seleccionado, se hace funcionar el medio transmisor de tal forma que induzca un campo magnético de la frecuencia seleccionada en las capas de tierra, y este campo magnético induce un campo magnético de respuesta, cerda de la herramienta. El medio receptor se hace funcionar al valor seleccionado del espaciamiento del medio transmisor de tal forma que se proporcione una señal que represente el campo magnético de respuesta. Las señales se combinan en una manera tal que se cree una señal combinada que tenga una dependencia reducida de la conductividad eléctrica en la region de la perforacion de sondeo y de conductividad eléctrica de una capa de tierra adyacente a la capa seleccionada.
