Abstract

La presente invencion provee un proceso de descontaminar suelo y/o sedimentos que contienen contaminantes de tipo DDT mediante la conversion de dichos contaminantes en materiales inocuos, descontaminando así el suelo en la medida deseada, ya sea la descontaminacion parcial o la reparacion total. El proceso comprende tratar solidos y/o sedimentos que contienen poblaciones de microbios viables anaerobicos capaces de transformar los contaminantes tipo DDT en materiales inocuos, siendo esto factible bajo condiciones anaerobicas y aerobicas.
