Abstract
Se describe un sistema para cotizar y facturar transacciones de telecomunicaciones en tiempo real. En una modalidad preferida, una Máquina de Análisis de Tiempo Real (RAE -Real-Time Analysis Machine) actualiza las cuentas de los clientes en tiempo real, aplicando datos específicos del cliente a registros de Contabilidad Automática del Mensaje (AMA -Automatic Message Accounting). En una actualizacion típica, un cliente inicia una llamada a la que se asigna ruta a través de un conmutador de una red telefonica. El conmutador genera un registro AMA para la llamada, y el registro se pasa a la RAE donde la llamada se cotiza. Entonces la RAE asigna la llamada cotizada al cliente que inicio la llamada, ubica esos datos de cotizacion del cliente, y aplica a la llamada cualesquiera descuentos a los cuales el cliente tiene derecho. Después de que la llamada se ha cotizado y descontado o "fijado precio", puede sumarse a las otras llamadas con precio fijado del cliente para el periodo de facturacion corriente, para generar una cuenta corriente para el cliente.
