Abstract

El motor de paquete calcula un valor de Z representativo de la posicion del polígono en la direccion de profundidad de los valores de coordenadas de los ápices de polígono suministrados desde la CPU principal, divide el polígono en un numero de subpolígonos que corresponden al valor de Z, convierte los valores de coordenada de los ápices de los subpolígonos de conformidad con un vector normal y los parámetros de la superficie curvada, y produce una superficie curvada compuesta de subpolígonos. Una unidad de procesamiento gráfica describe los datos de pixel de los sub-polígonos producidos mediante el motor de paquete programable en un almacenador transitorio de cuadros y lleva a cabo el procesamiento de rendimiento.
