Abstract
Se proporciona la recuperacion de error para datos isocronos ("isodatos") obtenidos a partir de una corriente de datos. Los paquetes de transporte de isodatos se monitorean para ubicar las estampas de tiempo de presentacion de isodatos (PTSs). La presentacion de los isodatos provenientes de una memoria intermedia se sincronizan con un reloj de tiempo del sistema (STC) utilizando la informacion de sincronizacion derivada de los PTSs. Los errores de discontinuidad entre dichos paquetes de transporte de isodatos se identifican y si se identifica una discontinuidad de no más de un paquete, se adelanta un señalador de escritura de la memoria intermedia mediante un numero de bits adecuado para compensar la discontinuidad, mientras se mantiene la sincronizacion de la presentacion con respecto al STC. Se describen técnicas de deteccion y recuperacion de errores adicionales, incluyendo el mantenimiento de un contador de unidad de presentacion, el uso de una extension de PTS y el desplazamiento de PTS a fin de verificar la sincronizacion de salida, la provision de un par de señaladores de PTS que verifican la correcta salida de sincronizacion de datos, el uso de una corriente elemental de paquete (PES) cuenta para detectar los datos perdidos en la corriente de transporte y la deteccion y descarga de paquetes designados como encriptados después de que cualquier desencripcion deba ya haber sido terminada.
