Abstract
La presente invencion revela un nuevo método para la produccion de coque a partir de carbon. En la presente invencion, el coque se produce continuamente al calentar una carga movil de carbon dentro de la seccion transversal anular (13) definida por dos tubos concéntricos (11, 12). La cámara coquificadora (13), que incluye un tubo de gran diámetro (11) y un tubo concéntrico de menor diámetro (12) es alimentado con un carbon, como el carbon metalurgico. El carbon es calentado bidireccionalmente con un gradiente de temperatura controlada entre la pared interior del tubo de diámetro menor (12) y la pared exterior del tubo de diámetro mayor (11). El carbon es transformado en coque al viajar longitudinalmente sobre el eje de ambos tubos. El coque es descargado, y es enfriado antes de quedar expuesto a la atmosfera.
