Abstract

A refrigerator (20) having freezing (22) and refrigerating compartments (23) and a refrigerating cycle and a control method therefor, comprises a compressor (31) for compressing refrigerant, a condenser (32) for condensing refrigerant, a capillary tube (33) for expanding refrigerant, a first evaporator (27) mounted in the refrigerating compartment (23) and a second evaporator (29) mounted in series to the first evaporator in the freezing compartment (22); the freezing and refrigerating compartments divided from each other to be cooled, separately, a first fan (28) mounted in the refrigerating compartment (23) to circulate air passing through the first evaporator (27); a second fan (30) mounted in the freezing compartment (22) to circulate air passing through the second evaporator (29), and a control portion (35) for controlling the operation of the compressor (31) and the freezing and refrigerating fans, thereby performing both compartments to be maintained at the constant temperature.
