Abstract

Un proceso para controlar la separacion de capas y mezclas de compuestos de cristal líquidos esmécticos, comprende la etapa de combinar aun composicion de cristal líquido que tiene una expansion de capa térmica negativa neta en red en por lo menos una mesofase esméctica inclinadas (o inclinada latente) en una composicion de cristal líquido que tiene una expansion de capa térmica positiva neta en red y en por lo menos una mesofase esméctica inclinada (o inclinada latente), cada una de las composiciones comprende por lo menos un compuesto de cristal líquido esméctico o esméctico latente. El proceso permite el control de la separacion de capas en la mesofase o mesofase esmécticas inclinadas y por lo tanto el control o supresion de la geomería de capa de Chevron.
