Abstract

Se proporciona un dispositivo para mover aire tal como un ventilador de enfriamiento axial que comprende un alojamiento de ventilador, un montaje de eje girable sostenido por el alojamiento de ventilador, y una pluralidad de aspas o palas de ventilador acopladas al montaje de eje girable, cada una de las aspas de ventilador tiene un extremo de aspa en proximidad cercana al alojamiento de ventilador. De acuerdo con la invencion, por lo menos una de las aspas de ventilador tiene un reborde localizado en el extremo de la aspa de la misma, e integrado con la misma. Al reducir el flujo de aire a través del espacio entre el extremo de la aspa y el alojamiento del ventilador, el reborde resulta en que se reduce de manera ventajosa el ruido aeroacustico generado por el ventilador. En una modalidad ilustrativa, los rebordes son sustancialmente perpendiculares a la aspa del ventilador y se extienden en ambas direcciones sustancialmente perpendiculares desde la misma. Los rebordes pueden consistir de un componente fabricado por separado, el cual ha sido unido físicamente a una aspa de ventilador (fabricada por separado) o la aspa de ventilador y el reborde pueden ser partes de un componenteunico, fabricado integralmente.
