Abstract
Se presenta un dispositivo que mide y cuenta las burbujas casi superficiales en la barra de cobre, así como las grietas en las caras laterales. El dispositivo detecta estos defectos en tiempo real. Este dispositivo esta basado en la técnica de digitalizacion de imágenes. El dispositivo consta de una computadora personal, cámara de video, tarjeta digitalizadora, aspersores de agua y aire, monitor externo y montura de la cámara. La captura de la imágenes se realiza con la cámara de video que se encuentra protegida dentro de la montura. Los aspersores de agua y aire tienen la funcion de hacer más visibles los defectos de la barra. El monitor externo permite enfocar el área de interés y la tarjeta digitalizadora dentro de la computadora, y siguiendo las instrucciones del programa, realiza el análisis de la imagen.
