Abstract

Se esterifica glicerina propoxilada con ácido graso en exceso mediante un proceso en donde la temperatura aumenta de forma incremental y la presion se reduce de forma incremental durante el curso de la esterificacion mientras que se retira el agua formada como un subproducto. La conversion rápida de los grupos hidroxilo de la glicerina propoxilada se logra mientras que se disminuyen las pérdidas de ácido graso. La glicerina propoxilada y esterificada con ácido graso contenida en esta forma es util como un substituto de grasa de calorías reducidas.
