Abstract

En un método y aparato para controlar la operacion de un descodificador de señal en un sistema de transmision, una señal de transmision y una señal de identificacion cifrada se genera y la señal de identificacion se agrega a la señal; la señal junto con la señal de identificacion se transmite y se recibe en el descodificador, en donde la señal de identificacion es descifrada y comparada con un valor de verificacion; si ocurre una igualdad, se permite la operacion adicional del descodificador; si no ocurre una igualdad, se rechaza la operacion adicional al descodificador.
