Abstract

Se describen diseños de lente torica, asférica, los cuales reducen el numero de ubicaciones del eje cilíndrico requeridos para unidades de mantenimiento en deposito en inventario, por asferizacion de su superficie torica. La presente invencion pertenece a las lentes de contacto tales como lentes de contacto de hidrogel, blandas, diseñadas particularmente para adaptarse a pacientes astigmáticos, quienes son ya sea presbiopicos o no presbiopicos. Una de las superficies frontal y posterior de la lente torica asférica, define una superficie esférica que corresponde a por lo menos la prescripcion Rx a distancia básica del paciente. La otra de las superficies frontal y posterior define una curva torica, asférica, en que la superficie torica se construye con radios asférico, de tal manera que la curva asférica, desensibiliza el mal alineamiento axial de la curva torica, proporcionando una profundidad de foco aumentada. Cuando la superficie torica asférica está sobre la superficie posterior de la lente, la curva esférica sobre la superficie frontal de la lente, puede consistir de una sola curva esférica que corresponde a la prescripcion Rx a distancia básica del paciente. Cuando la curva asférica está sobre la superficie frontal de la lente, la curva esférica sobre la superficie posterior de la lente, puede consistir de un diseño de superficie esférica de anillo anular, concéntrico, de foco multiple.
