Abstract

Se trata de una protesis para reconstruir el tercio proximal del fémur, con capacidad de hacerlo hasta la union del tercio medio con distal, puede ser fabricada en cualquier material biocompatible existente en el mercado, su tamaño se adecua a la edad y longitud del segmento. Las ventajas de este diseño son: 1. Uso opcional del cemento. 2. Mecanismo antirotacion y anticolapso independiente. 3. El tipo de union implante hueso disminuye la aplicacion directa de fuerzas sobre el vástago y promueve la fijacion biologica mediante crecimiento oseo a través de la camisa. 4. La magnitud de la reseccion no afecta la estabilidad del implante. 5. Posibilidad de corregir durante la cirugía una reseccion mal calculada. 6. Bloqueo sencillo y rápido. 7. Posibilidad de corregir una fractura o un aflojamiento mediante un nuevo bloqueo. 8. Estabilidad global no dependiente de la relacion de diámetros entre vástago y canal medular ni del cemento sino de los pernos y de la camisa. 9. Menor riesgo de enfermedad por cemento. 10. Cirugía de revision sencilla. 11. No se requiere instrumental especial para su colocacion. 12. Tecnología de manufactura no compleja. 13. El diseño esta hecho en base a la antropometría de fémures de nuestra poblacion.
