Abstract
The present invention refers to a process for the transformation of used lubricant oil in clean fuel. The used lubricating oil is regarded as dangerous material due to its toxicity and, in most cases, is also inflammable. Tank trucks with used lubricating oil are concentrated in a processing plant, wherein said used oil is filtered, settled, dispensed with a cationic flocculator, flocculated by pneumatic stirring, heated near its boiling point, and filtered before entering a ultracentrifuge, which separates it into three phases: a) A metal-free non-toxic fuel, for its sale. b) Muds containing metallic and non metallic solids, which are stabilized and solidified as paving blocks for their sale. c) Water containing a low amount of oil. This water is gathered along with settling water, floor washing water and pluvial water recollected from impervious floors, and is finally processed by a second ultracentrifuge, from which three phases are obtained: 1) oil with a low amount of water, which is returned back to the first ultracentrifuge inlet, 2) muds, which are gathered with muds from the first ultracentrifuge, and 3) water suitable for irrigation. The process does not produce neither waste waters, nor any type of solid residues, or atmosphere polluting particles or gases.
