Abstract

Los artículos (diferentes de fibras), hechos de masas de polibenzazol, son lavados rápidamente para eliminar el ácido polifosfórico, mediante una combinación de lavado inicial con un líquido ácido y un segundo lavado con un fluido lixiviador caliente, a por lo menos 60ºC. El procedimiento puede alcanzar niveles de fósforo residual aceptables (de 1,500 a 2,000 partes por millón) en un tiempo tan corto como 2 a 3 minutos.
