Abstract

Se describe un proceso para producir un compuesto de éter ter-alquílico de alquilo, que comprende: poner en contacto un alcohol y una corriente de alimentación que comprende olefinas terciarias, con un primer catalizador ácido en una primera zona de reacción de eterificación, para formar una primera mezcla de reacción que comprende éter, olefinas terciarias, y alcohol; pasar la primera mezcla de reacción al medio de separación para separar la primera mezcla de reacción en una primera corriente de vapores salientes de la parte alta, una primera corriente de fondos y una corriente intermedia, en donde la primera corriente de vapores salientes de la parte alta, comprende alcohol, la primera corriente de fondos comprende éter, y la corriente intermedia comprende olefinas terciarias; poner en contacto la primera corriente de vapores salientes de la parte alta con un segundo catalizador ácido, en una segunda zona de eterificación, para formar una segunda mezcla de reacción que comprende éter; introducir la corriente intermedia en la corriente de alimentación; y separar la segunda mezcla de reacción en una segunda corriente de vapores salientes de la parte alta y una segunda corriente de fondos, en donde la segunda corriente de vapores salientes de la parte alta comprende alcohol y la segunda corriente de fondos comprende éter.
