Abstract

Se proveen varios procedimientos para un mejoramiento en el campo técnico referente al rearreglo térmico de una emulsión de agua, o una mezcla con agua de un material de alimentación, por ejemplo, bitumen de arena de alquitrán, petróleo denso, residuos de refinería o una corriente de desecho de petróleo denso, en donde el material de alimentación contiene un componente mineral natural finamente dividido. La esencia de estos procedimientos implica poner en contacto la emulsión de agua o la mezcla de agua con un gas seleccionado, por ejemplo, gas de síntesis o monóxido de carbono en presencia de una cantidad catalítica, es decir, desde alrededor de 0.3 hasta alrededor del 15 de un catalizador bifuncional que facilita la reacción de cambio agua-gas y también promueve la hidrogenación y estabilización de los productos de la reacción de craqueo. El catalizador bifuncional incluye el componente mineral natural finamente dividido que está contenido en el material de alimentación. El proceso se lleva a cabo bajo condiciones de presión y temperatura en las que ocurre la reacción de cambio agua-gas- El mérito de esta invención consiste en recuperar el petróleo líquido rearreglado térmicamente con una viscosidad y densidad más bajas que las del material de alimentación. Además, a partir de esto, en este proceso o en otros procesos industriales también se recuperan corrientes separadas de dióxido de carbono gaseoso e hidrógeno gaseoso.
