Abstract

Una formulación química y métodos se proporcionan para el tratamiento de agua para evitar controlar o inhibir corrosión y/o depósitos, particularmente para el tratamiento de agua en equipo de tubería para distribución de agua y termointercambiador asociado y más particularmente para el tratamiento de agua en equipo de transferencia de calor, en donde agua o vapor se emplean como el medio de trasferencia térmica. El método trata el agua con al menos un alcohol mono o poli-hídrico. Opcionalmente, la formulación de tratamiento es una mezcla de alcoholes mono o poli-hidricos y además opcionalmente incluye uno o más de ácido poli(acrílico) de peso molecular mixto y/o al menos una sal; al menos un ligno sulfonato libre de cromo y al menos un ácido carboxilico y/o al menos una sal del mismo. El ácido carboxílico es diferente del ácido poli(acrílico)-
