Abstract

La presente invención describe composiciones azeotrópicas de 5-45 por ciento por peso de pentafluoroetano y 55-95 por ciento por peso de 1,1,1-trifluoroetano, que ebulle a -16.9°C y a una presión de cerca de 3.6 kg/cm²abs. (5 psia). Estas composiciones son útiles como refrigerantes, propelentes par aérosol, medio para transferencia de calor, dieléctricos gaseosos, agentes extintores de incendios, agentes de expansión para poliolefinas y poliuretanos, y como fluidos energéticos para ciclo de trabajo.
